We carry high end, high quality equipment like the Henderson dump body. We do a lot of work with government agencies like CalTrans, Water Resources, Utilities, Cities, and Counties. My niche with these agencies is in writing specifications. Often this requires multiple pages of very detailed information for every detail and part of a truck.

We normally do about 60% government and 40% custom. Currently we are doing about 80% government work. We are a certified, small business and bid accordingly on government contracts. There is a lot of detail and numerous inspections involved in doing a government contract which causes great attention to detail. At West Coast Truck Equipment we believe this actually makes our business better as we strive to meet the high standards of this type of work.

An example of this would be the requirement of 1/16th of an inch tolerance required by CalTrans. Most companies in the country cannot meet these standards, but we have the expertise in our shop to be able to deliver this level of excellence.
